Re: Healthy Pennsylvania – Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
Governor Tom Corbett recently announced his Healthy Pennsylvania initiative in which a key part is to ensure that every child in Pennsylvania has health care.
Healthy Pennsylvania works to ensure that all Pennsylvania children have access to quality, affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs.
The plan also eliminates CHIP’s six month waiting period for eligible families in certain income ranges, allowing Pennsylvania children to have continued and timely access to CHIP coverage.
If parents contact you for information about CHIP or options available to them under Governor Corbett’s proposal, below are helpful links to information to share with families.
